Start with the job your website needs to do
Write down one main action you want a visitor to take: send a WhatsApp enquiry, request a quotation or arrange a visit. Then list the information they need before taking that action. A contractor might need service areas and project examples. A preschool might need programmes, age groups, facilities and admissions information.
This exercise is more useful than choosing a page count first. If all your services share one audience and a simple enquiry process, one page may be enough. If visitors need to compare programmes or explore different technical services, separate pages can make the information easier to navigate.
What do Kayal’s website packages cost?
The figures below are Kayal Design Studio’s published starting prices as of 9 October 2026, not an average for every web designer in Malaysia. Your final quotation depends on the agreed content and functionality.
| Starting point | Price | Agreed starting scope |
|---|---|---|
| One Page | RM899 | One page with up to six sections |
| Business Website | From RM1,800 | Starts with three pages; additional standard pages from RM300 each, up to eight pages total |
| Custom Experience | By quotation | Nine or more pages, or advanced functionality and integrations |
The One Page package includes mobile-responsive design, WhatsApp and social links, basic page SEO setup and two revision rounds. The Business Website package adds room for separate content journeys, with an enquiry form and map within the agreed scope. Compare the current website packages and inclusions before deciding.
Compare deliverables, not just the headline price
Ask what counts as a page, who supplies the words and photographs, and how changes are reviewed. A quote that includes a programme page is different from one that includes a programme directory with filtering, online registration and automated follow-up.
- Content: Are you supplying final copy, or does the project include research and copywriting?
- Design: Are layouts adapted to your content? How many review rounds are included?
- Functionality: Does a booking button link to an existing service, or is a booking system being built?
- Ownership: Who controls the domain, hosting and website files? What does handover include?
- Support: What happens after launch, and which changes need a separate quote?
At Kayal, standard packages include light editing of supplied content. Substantial copywriting, translation, additional revisions and advanced features are quoted separately. A portfolio concept demonstrates possibilities; its calculators or other tools are not automatically included in a starting package.
Allow for costs after the first year
Kayal’s new website packages include a complimentary first-year standard domain and agreed hosting plan. Renewals and paid licences are separate and confirmed before purchase. If you already have a domain or hosting, the design and development price stays the same. Ask for renewal estimates in writing so the introductory offer does not become your only budgeting reference.
Care is a separate choice. Annual Website Care is RM900 per year. Care + Content starts at RM200 per month and includes technical care, up to ten supplied image replacements and one AI-assisted blog draft of up to 600 words, with review and approval before publishing. You do not pay an additional annual care fee on the monthly plan. Platform suitability and maintenance responsibilities should be confirmed in your quotation.
Choose the smallest scope that serves your customers well
A focused first website can work well for a business with one clear offer. A growing practice with multiple services may benefit from a fuller structure immediately. Neither decision should depend only on the cheapest number or the largest number of pages.
Send your service list, available content, preferred launch window and a realistic budget when you enquire. We can then explain what fits, what needs a separate quote and what can wait for a later phase. Use our website brief checklist to prepare the information.
